In Jesus’ Parable of the Sower his admonition to his disciples was to continually seek spiritual maturity through the word of God. Paul describes an image of spiritual maturity in Ephesians 4:13 – “to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

In pursuing the stature of the fullness of Christ by the word of God you encounter who you are pursuing. And this encounter changes everything. Listen how Jesus describes himself to his father in John 17:1-5 –  “…Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

Jesus was incarnated as a human in the womb of Mary by the Holy Spirit and was born a man. He lived a perfect life, died the death of all humanity, and was raised from the dead in an eternal human body. Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Godhead in heaven.

Jesus the God/man, the human Jesus who is God, now has the glory he had with the Father before the world existed – IN A HUMAN BODY. This is who we are being fashioned into one day at a time as the word of God and our submission and obedience to the Holy Spirit mold us into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ!

Forget about who you were and BE transformed by the renewing of your mind into who you ARE…

PUSH PLAY and Listen to how Jesus describes this.
