Disinformation about God was introduced into the church long ago where the masses of ALL people gathered. Higher critics of theology and philosophy, later followed by many atheistic scientists, demonized God in the Old Testament as being angry and mean. The masses in the church were taught the scriptures were unreliable, miracles were a hoax of an ancient people, and not to fear God who clearly demonstrated reasons to fear Him.

These same critics also emasculated Jesus in the New Testament as a milk toast flake who seduced the crowds with charisma and a Pollyanna morality. Virgin birth and resurrection never happened. The masses in the church were taught not to love and obey Jesus who overwhelmingly demonstrated reasons to love and obey him.

The glory of the character of God is given in His name that he audibly spoke to Moses in Exodus 34:6-7 – “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”

Hopefully, this post and podcast episode (#137 Jesus – One With the Father) communicate God’s name demonstrates both reasons to fear and reasons to love and obey God who was fully One-IN-Jesus.
