Eccl 1:9-11 – What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already in the ages before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of later things yet to be among those who come after. 

The Mystery Religion of ancient Babylon has continued the span of history since its inception at Babel by Nimrod. Given the span of human life after the flood quickly diminished to 70 years the devil did not have to overcomplicate rebellion against God. He simply used the same tactics to distract, deceive, tempt, and reward God fearers to abandon God and follow the serpent. 

Babel first appears in Genesis 10-11 and continues until Revelation 17-18? There were two systems in the world starting in Genesis 12. God fearing descendants of Abraham and the nations of the world. Israel covenanted with God, the nations of the world feared the Babylonian gods and idols.

This separation will continue till the very end. We find in Rev 17 a great prostitute, a woman riding a beast with a name of mystery on her head, ““Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations” (Rev 17:5). This the same one world ecumenical religion found in Gen 11 that majors in sex, drugs, rock and roll. It has never gone away but continually re-morphs in each successive generation.

Paul noted this morphing of the devil in Eph 6:1-11 – Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 

Revelation is the terminal book of all unfulfilled prophetic text in the Bible. The Day of the Lord will end all the devils schemes, mean the redemption of remnant Israel, and bring about a NEW DAY. 

The first day of the kingdom of heaven on earth and a thousand-year reign of Christ over the nations. No more Groundhog-Day.
