God reveals through the prophet Habakkuk how the righteous are to live.

Habakkuk 2:4 – Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.

This Habakkuk verse ties the books of Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews together as a trilogy that explains who are the righteous, how the righteous are to live, and how the righteous live by faith.

Romans 1:17 – “The righteous shall live by faith.” Paul explains the “Righteous” are those “Justified” by God by their faith in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:11 – “The righteous shall live by faith.” Paul explains the “Righteous” live by “faith” not by works of the Law.

Hebrews 10:38 – “my righteous one shall live by faith.” The writer of Hebrews explains the “Righteous” live by faith fully expecting God to fulfill his promises irrespective of temporal circumstances.

Central to understanding this trilogy is understanding the word [LOGOS] of righteousness. Psalm 143:2 says –…for no one living is righteous before you. Yet in both the Old and New Testaments we see people referred to as righteous before God. Finding the unity in this paradox changes everything and is the LOGOS of righteousness.
