Welcome to Episode #107 of Way of the Bible podcast. This is our third of eight episodes in our fourteenth mini-series entitled, Book That Blesses | Revelation. On this episode, Mid-Tribulation Events, we’re going to overview Chapters 10-14 of the book of Revelation.

As a reminder to listeners, my running commentary on Revelation are personal views based upon over 25 years of research and study of both the Bible and this particular book. My views have been shaped by the Bible and theological books, commentaries, lectures, etc.  of gifted and well recognized scholars, pastors, and authors.

I take a futurism approach to Revelation which assumes God’s word is trustworthy and that God will fulfill for Israel all the promises contained in Old and New Testament prophetic texts. It is my belief based upon the culmination of my studies that the church (those in-Christ) will be snatched out of the world as stated in 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 prior to the tribulation.

There are many prominent and respected scholars and pastors who take different positions than I do and I’m good with that. Only God the Father knows exactly the when and how all prophecies will have their final resolution in and through Christ.

I encourage you to do your own research and study the Bible and it’s culmination in Revelation. Let this overview give you a taste of things to investigate. Experience for yourself the promise of Revelation 1:3Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

One such person who did that was Sir Isaac Newton who is accredited with writing over a million words of notes on the Bible. A book on Revelation was compiled and published from his notes six years after his death. You can still find it on-line. Observations Upon the Prophecies of Daniel and the Apocalypse of St. John.
